Breathe Easy With These Recipes

Nothing can be more important than supporting our respiratory system during the cold months.  Whatever time of year you find yourself, these recipes will help you breath easier while you're on the go.
Vapor Rub
1/2 cup unrefined, cold pressed, virgin coconut oilVapor Rub
2 tblsp beeswax
20 drops Young Living Eucalyptus Radiata Essential Oil
20 drops Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil
10 drops Young Living Rosemary Essential Oil
10 drops Young Living Clove Essential Oil
10 drops Young Living Cinnamon Essential Oil

In 15 ml essential oil bottle, combine the eucalyptus, peppermint, rosemary, clove and cinnamon essential oils.  Let sit overnight with lid on, to allow oils to synergize.  Once you have your synergy made, melt the coconut oil and beeswax on medium heat, stirring occassionally.  It will take some time for the beeswax to melt thoroughly.  Be patient! Once oil and beeswax are completely dissolved, turn off heat and add your 5 oil synergy blend from the previous night.  Stir well, do NOT shake the oils.  It disturbs the synergy.

Store in glass container with lid and rub on chest and neck as needed.  Great to keep on the nighstand by the bed.  Another fun idea is to purchase lip balm containers on Amazon and place vapor rub in them and apply to feet or chest.  The lip balm containers allow for easier on the go use as they fit well in the smallest of bags.  If you are going to use the lip balm containers, you must put mixture in them immediately before the beeswas and coconut oil return to a more solid state.  Enjoy!

Elecampane Root Honey Infusion
According to Webmd, 'Elecampane is an herb. The root is used to make medicine. Elecampane is used for lung diseases including asthma, bronchitis, and whooping cough. It is also used to prevent coughing, especially coughing caused by tuberculosis; and as an expectorant to help loosen phlegm, so it can be coughed up more easily'.

Fill a jar with sliced Elecampane root, cover in honey, stir to get the air bubbles out and let sit for three days.  Turn over a couple times a day to help with the mixing.  Will keep in fridge indefinitely.  Take 1 tsp as needed.
Marshmallow Root Infusions
Marshmallow root infusions soothe irritated throat and lungs.  Make tea:  Put 1/4 cup marshmallow root in a pint size jar.  Fill jar with luke warm water and let sit 4 hours.  Strain when ready and drink as desired.
